My name is Joanna Thompson. I bring to my executive and business Coaching practice a deep understanding of the ingredients of personal and business success. A crucial element is knowing how to identify, unlock and harness talents and strengths and to channel energy appropriately. I have studied and enjoyed personal success in navigating the corporate world, with the underpinning of a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the US Ivy league University of Pennsylvania. First-hand experience of transition across roles and geographies, frequent exposure to C-suite executives and my love of travel meld into a broad perspective and deep insights.
I am energised by seeing people and businesses thrive and by sharing my experience that the “good guy” can win. This applies in even the most competitive situations. Your soul need not be for sale. Indeed, I would go further. Without a shadow of a doubt, my experience and enjoyment in building trust have been fundamental to my success.
I have flourished at the premier US, European and Australian financial institutions of Goldman Sachs, Macquarie and Credit Suisse, rising to the position of Managing Director. Experience of transition came courtesy of my career having the unusual distinction of spanning Corporate Finance, front line Fixed Income and Equities Institutional Sales and a Senior Talent Development leadership role, with a C suite focus. In addition I have lived in the UK, US and Australia.
How can I help you?
The power of my coaching lies in the unique interplay of the practical experience and the academic study of “what works”. My front line business experience, my personal exposure to transitions and my rigorous academic study are rich seams to tap into. They have proven to be a winning combination for me, my mentees and my clients.
I would be thrilled to help you lead a bigger, bolder, brighter life.
We have but one precious life. It is time to choose your aspirational epitaph and unleash your legacy.
My aspirational epitaph is ”Joanna wholeheartedly lived the breadth and length of her life with enthusiasm, kindness and humour and with the humility to recognise her impatience”.
Opportunities will come and go, but if you do nothing about them so will you. Navigate your path to success and draw on yourSecondWind.
I want to know more about a bigger, bolder, brighter future.
